About the American Bully
The American Bully is a fairly new breed, recognized by the ABKC (American Bully Kennel Club) in 2004. They were recognized by the UKC (United Kennel Club) in 2013, and they are not currently recognized by the AKC (American Kennel Club). The American Bully is oftentimes mistaken for the American Pit Bull Terrier; however, they are not the same breed. The American Bully is often shorter than the APBT and stockier/heavier. We also find that they have much more docile temperaments, are not as reactive as the APBT, and don't require quite as much exercise. We truly believe they are the best "all-around" companion dog. They can be just as happy going out adventuring with their owners as they can be curling up on the couch watching Netflix all day.
